For the production of carbon materials LLC "Termolant" uses high-quality coal Anthracite from the Donetsk coal basin of the Russian region.

To increase the carbon content in the metal smelted in production, various carbon-containing materials are added to it:

• using finer fractions, carbon-containing material is used for carburizing steel;
• the use of larger fractions will help to save on electricity when smelting steel, in this case it acts as additional heat energy;
• moreover, the carbon-containing material allows effectively deoxidizing and foaming the slag in an electric furnace when smelting steel.

This material is able to increase the carbon content in the metal to the desired percentage, it is black shiny grains of a certain fractional composition, without lumps and impurities and has a different fractional composition.

To ensure foaming of the slag, under conditions of carbon deficiency, in the balance of the decarburization reaction, it is necessary to blow in powdered carbon, since Lump coke additives are characterized by low efficiency. (small specific contact surface), and the use of cast iron is not always economically justified. For this purpose, a finely dispersed powder of carbonaceous material with a particle size of 0-3 mm. is blown with oxygen into the bath of an arc steel-making furnace. Thus, the process of slag foaming is started - CO bubbles float up when the metal is oxidized with oxygen. During slag foaming, the incandescent arc is permanently covered with foam, which minimizes the negative effect of radiation from the arc on the cooled elements of the furnace. This allows the oven to operate at maximum power and efficiency. Thus, productivity is increased while the consumption of electricity is reduced.

The products are made from high-quality low-ash, low-sulfur anthracite coals, mined in the mines of the Donetsk coal basin.

The manufacturing process of this material includes deep cleaning of the highest quality materials of natural origin that have undergone high-temperature processing, classification by size and chemical composition to obtain a set of physical and chemical parameters of the product.

At the request of the customer, we are ready to manufacture material with other characteristics of dimensions and chemical composition.
